Organizing a personal directory of niche information sources

Does anyone else feel like their browser bookmarks have become a total mess? I have dozens of folders for different hobbies and work projects, and I am finding it impossible to keep track of where the most valuable discussions are happening. I am trying to build a more organized system for documenting my favorite online resources. I would love to hear how you all manage your "information map"—do you use specific tools, or just a simple spreadsheet? I am especially interested in how you verify if a source is still reliable.

I found that a simple spreadsheet is actually the most flexible way to handle this. I list the site name, the primary topic, and how active the community seems to be. When I am looking for new places to add, I often check out directories of forums links to see if there are any new specialized boards I missed. It is helpful to have a "notes" column where I can jot down the names of particularly helpful users or specific threads that I want to revisit later. This system has saved me a lot of frustration when I am working on tight deadlines.
